I imagined John Blanke as physically and emotionally strong but occasionally lonely, especially when neither playing music nor working. Perhaps before his marriage?  Because this feeling is quite universal I have tried to make this image timeless. I have used a fleur-de-lys pattern in the window screens to signify commonalities in Moorish, medieval, royal and modern design.
