I imagined John Blanke in creating my artistic interpretation of the late great man I tried to get a feel of the man. In studying the paintings created of him during his life I got a scene that he was a quiet, humble and obviously very talented man. I also felt sense of sadness and isolation being in a foreign land, far from his own people, culture and customs. These were my thoughts while creating this piece.
